Toowoomba State High School
Curriculum
The curriculum at Toowoomba State High School is world-class. In Year 8&9, students complete programs based on the Queensland Curriculum, Assessment and Reporting Framework. Year 10 students commence preparation for their Senior Subjects and/or vocational elements called Senior Foundation Studies.
We are at the forefront of delivery options and combined programs with TAFE and USQ. Since 2004 our students qualify for their University study and gaining credit in a number of their subjects. Students from Toowoomba High gain entry to their University BEFORE their OP score is calculated based on my recommendation.
When students start their Year 8 in late January, I want them to know that we understand that some of them might be nervous and worried about starting in a new school. We will do everything we can to make sure that our New Year 8s get settled into High School VERY quickly and without any anxiety.
